The United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI) is a North American Oneness Pentecostal organization with headquarters in Weldon Spring, Missouri. It was formed in 1945 by a merger of two oneness Pentecostal bodies originally consisting of 521 churches. It has since grown to more than 43,000 churches (including daughter works and preaching points), 43,000 ministers, and over 5.5 million members worldwide. The international fellowship consists of national organizations that are united as the Global Council of the UPCI, which is chaired by the General Superintendent, David K. Bernard.
Raymond Sirstad was appointed as coordinator to develop the district in 1970 and promoted the area across the fellowship while pastoring in Calgary, Alberta. By 1977, ten churches were started, along with two preaching points. This led to the establishment of the district with Raymond Sirstad as the first District Superintendent. Since then he served as a vice president of Conquerors Bible College in Portland, Oregon; established a church in Hood River, Oregon; served as Executive Presbyter for the UPCI; preached at conferences across North America; and ministered in eight oversees missions. Succeeding superintendents included Daniel Mena, Johnny King, Floyd Covill, Trevor Neil and Henry Poitras (currently serving).
