The Canadian Plains District is governed by a district board consisting of the District Superintendent, the District Secretary and Presbyters of three sections. Section One includes churches in northern Alberta (north of Red Deer), Section one the churches in southern Alberta (including Red Deer) and Section Three the churches in the province of Saskatchewan. Directors lead activities of the departments including: North American Missions, Global Missions, Youth, Men’s Ministries, Ladies Ministries and Children’s Ministries.

District Superintendent
Henry Poitras is the District Superintendent and Lead Pastor of the Pentecostals of Calgary, Alberta. He has been a pastor for 35 years, a federal civil servant and a trusted advisor for non-profit organizations – and has served in the past in several district leadership roles as well as the principal of Northeastern Christian College. He and his wife Rosanne have two adult children and two grandchildren.
District Secretary
Edward (Ted) McGreer is the District Secretary (Secretary-Treasurer) and Pastor of New Life Pentecostal Church of Edmonton, Alberta. He has served previous terms as District Secretary and has extensive experience as pastor, college instructor, economist and public sector senior manager. He and his wife Marilyn have three adult children and one grandchild.
Presbyters
Philip Robe-From is Presbyter of Section One and Pastor of Abundant Life Church in Grande Prairie, Alberta. He is a long-serving presbyter and past Youth President. He and his wife Gwendolyn have six children.
Jaime Ramos is Presbyter of Section Two and Pastor of Day of Pentecost Apostolic Church in Calgary, Alberta. He is has been engaged in music ministry, evangelism and leadership training for over 20 years. He and his wife Bernadette have four children.
Tom Dehod is Presbyter of Section Three. He served in previous district leadership roles and 37 years as the pastor of New Life Church of Saskatoon. He is currently overseeing a new church plant in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. He and his wife Billy-Jo have three adult children and four grandchildren.
Departments
Global Missions
Paul Covill is the Director of Global Missions and pastor of New Life Tabernacle in Regina, Saskatchewan. He has served in the past as Presbyter and Men’s Ministries Director. He and his wife Nadine have three adult children and one grandchild.
North American Missions
Greg Carter is the Director of North American Missions and Pastor of The Rock Church, Calgary, Alberta. He and his wife Elsie have three children.
Children’s Ministries
Marlon Alexander is the Director of Children’s Ministries and Pastor of Tabernacle of Praise church in Fort McMurray, Alberta. He is also overseeing a church plant in Fort Chipewyan. He and his wife Cheryl have six children.
Youth
Thomas Dehod is the Youth President of the Canadian Plains District and Pastor of New Life in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He enjoys spending time with his wife and son.
The Youth Committee includes Harton Bulatao (Youth Secretary), Caleb Alexander (Section One Representative), Hubert Fordan (Section Two Representative), and Luis Ramos (Section Three Representative).
Ladies Ministries
Karen Thunder is the Ladies Ministries President. She and her husband Albert have three adult children. Cheryl Alexander is the Ladies Ministries Secretary.
Men’s Ministries
Albert Thunder is the Men’s Ministries Director. He is also the pastor of Corner Stone Church of Slave Lake and the Northwest Canadian representative for the Native American Ministries and Evangelism (NAME) department of the UPCI.
Spanish Ministries
Juan Arias is the District Spanish Coordinator and Pastor of Spanish Pentecostal Church of Red Deer. He served in the past on the Youth Committee for Section Two. He and his wife Esther have two children.
